Menuju Konseling Multikultural Kontekstual: Dekolonisasi Pengetahuan dan Penguatan Kearifan Lokal di Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya dekolonisasi pengetahuan dalam praktik konseling multikultural di Indonesia serta peran strategis kearifan lokal dalam memperkuat relevansi dan efektivitas layanan konseling. Selama ini, praktik konseling di Indonesia masih banyak dipengaruhi oleh paradigma Barat yang belum sepenuhnya selaras dengan konteks budaya masyarakat lokal. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur, artikel ini menganalisis konsep dekolonisasi pengetahuan sebagai upaya kritis untuk merekonstruksi praktik konseling agar lebih kontekstual, inklusif, dan berbasis budaya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal seperti gotong royong, musyawarah, dan penghormatan terhadap adat dapat memperkaya pendekatan konseling multikultural serta meningkatkan keterhubungan antara konselor dan konseli. Selain itu, dekolonisasi pengetahuan mendorong konselor untuk lebih reflektif terhadap bias epistemologis dan membuka ruang bagi perspektif alternatif yang berakar pada pengalaman lokal. Dengan demikian, praktik konseling tidak hanya menjadi lebih sensitif budaya, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada pelestarian identitas budaya dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan konselor yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal sebagai bagian integral dari kompetensi profesional di era multikultural.
