Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is an autoimmune disease with increased blood glucose due to insulin deficiency. The main therapy is insulin injection, including insulin aspart, which has a fast onset. The latest innovation in the form of faster-acting insulin aspart was developed to increase its effectiveness without increasing the risk of side effects. This mini-review aims to briefly examine the effectiveness and safety of faster-acting insulin aspart with insulin aspart in adult patients with type 1 diabetes.  The compilation of this literature review was carried out using a systematic search method for literature in the form of articles and journals through the Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct databases. Results: Based on the literature, faster-acting insulin aspart shows better effectiveness than insulin aspart in type 1 diabetes patients. This is seen from the control of HbA1c levels, better reduction of PPG sugar levels, and better control of TIR (Time in range) at certain blood sugar levels. Although in terms of safety profile, faster-acting insulin aspart does not show a significant difference with insulin aspart, but faster-acting insulin aspart can be a therapeutic option for the treatment of adult patients with type 1 diabetes. Conclusion: Faster-acting insulin aspart is more effective in controlling blood glucose in adult T1DM patients and may be an alternative therapy, although some study results still vary.
