Keterbatasan Situational Crisis Communication Theory dalam Krisis Isu Sensitif: Analisis Kasus Xpose Uncensored Trans7

Penelitian ini menganalisis keterbatasan Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) dalam menjelaskan respons organisasi terhadap krisis berbasis nilai. Fokus penelitian adalah kasus program Xpose Uncensored TRANS7 yang memicu kritik publik karena dianggap menyinggung nilai keagamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesenjangan antara prediksi teoritis SCCT dan praktik komunikasi krisis di lapangan, serta merumuskan perluasan teori yang lebih sensitif terhadap dimensi etika, budaya, dan identitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui analisis dokumen berupa pemberitaan media dan pernyataan resmi organisasi, yang dianalisis secara interpretatif dengan kerangka SCCT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons TRANS7 mencerminkan strategi rebuild melalui permintaan maaf dan klarifikasi. Namun, respons tersebut belum mampu memenuhi ekspektasi publik. SCCT cenderung berfokus pada perlindungan reputasi sehingga kurang sensitif terhadap dimensi etika, identitas, dan budaya. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa komunikasi krisis berbasis nilai tidak hanya bergantung pada atribusi tanggung jawab. Organisasi juga perlu mengintegrasikan empati dan sensitivitas nilai dalam responsnya. Oleh karena itu, SCCT perlu dilengkapi dengan perspektif berbasis nilai agar lebih relevan dalam konteks krisis yang melibatkan isu sosial dan keagamaan.
