Representasi Agen Perempuan dalam Poster Seri Avengers: Analisis Wacana Multimodal

Representasi perempuan dalam media populer menjadi isu penting dalam kajian gender, terutama terkait bagaimana teks visual membangun relasi kuasa, identitas sosial, dan konstruksi kepahlawanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi agensi perempuan serta mengungkap bagaimana elemen multimodal membentuk dan menegosiasikan ideologi gender dalam poster seri Avengers. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana multimodal berdasarkan kerangka Grammar of Visual Design Kress dan van Leeuwen yang mencakup metafungsi representasional, interaksional, dan komposisional. Data dianalisis melalui perspektif Feminist Critical Discourse Analysis untuk memahami bagaimana relasi kuasa gender dikonstruksi melalui representasi visual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter perempuan mengalami peningkatan visibilitas dan keterlibatan dalam narasi kepahlawanan, tetapi belum memperoleh agensi visual yang setara dengan karakter laki-laki. Figur laki-laki secara konsisten memperoleh posisi sentral, tingkat salience lebih tinggi, dominasi vektor aksi, serta hubungan visual yang lebih kuat dengan audiens. Sementara itu, karakter perempuan masih cenderung ditempatkan pada posisi lateral, ukuran visual lebih kecil, pencahayaan lebih rendah, dan memiliki keterlibatan interaksional yang terbatas. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada temuan bahwa ketimpangan gender dalam media superhero tidak hanya ditunjukkan melalui jumlah representasi perempuan, tetapi juga melalui mekanisme visual yang mengatur keterlihatan, otoritas, dan kekuasaan simbolik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa poster seri Avengers tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media promosi, tetapi juga sebagai teks multimodal yang mereproduksi dan menegosiasikan ideologi gender dalam budaya populer.
