Global health uncertainty and increasing vaccine demand require PT Bio Farma (Persero) to maintain optimal employee performance. However, internal assessments indicate that performance targets have not yet been achieved optimally. This study examined the effects of work motivation and workload on employee performance and evaluated the mediating role of work productivity. A quantitative, descriptive-verificative, cross-sectional research design was applied. Primary data were collected through five-point Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 326 employees selected from a population of 1,752 using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS and 5,000 bootstrap resamples. The results showed that work motivation, workload, work productivity, and employee performance were rated as high to very high. Work motivation and workload significantly improved work productivity (? = 0.419 and ? = 0.452; p < 0.001). Work productivity (? = 0.490; p < 0.001) and work motivation (? = 0.345; p < 0.001) significantly enhanced employee performance, whereas workload did not have a significant direct effect (? = 0.017; p = 0.365). Work productivity significantly mediated the effects of both work motivation and workload on employee performance. Therefore, strengthening employee motivation, managing workload proportionally, and fostering productivity were essential strategies for improving employee performance and organizational readiness.
